Thanks for refering to people as "wokes" so that I know you're completely not worth taking seriously at all.

Blackface was sometimes, like in the case of Fred Astaire in Swingtime, done as a misguided tribute. Also, it was frequently performed by black people. But it was racist caricature from its inception, which is why when Ziegfeld invited Bert Williams to be a lead in the follies and not in blackface, he announced this to the rest of the cast with cash on hand so that anyone who didn't like it could take their final pay and hit the sidewalk. Groucho Marx called Al Jolson out for continuing to do it. It was clearly racist and the history reflects this.

You don't give anything to counter my argument, or support your case. you just throw insults. As for playing with tension, the artists I referenced do that and do it well. Tony just trades in cheap, base, racist tropes.

You can tell me I don't know comedy, but tonight I'll go to sleep in a house that comedy bought me, so I must be working my misunderstanding well. Best of luck to you.

I banned this Maga fool after looking at the anti-trans and homophobic crap on his page. I don't host Nazis.
